Critical Software has launched its new edgeBOX 4.0 solution to the UK channel following successful launches in Chile, Portugal, Brazil and South Africa.

The edgeBOX solution integrates over 50 open source applications into a simple, all-in-one appliance controlled via a browser-based interface. Reseller partners can deliver everything an SME or Enterprise Branch Office (EBO) needs in one integrated platform, at a lower cost of ownership, yet without compromising on security, scalability or ease of management.

"According to the DTI, UK SMEs account for 46.2% of employment and 38.3% of business turnover - this is a huge market with a demand for low-cost integrated solutions. In the last year resellers have asked us how they can improve their offering to the SME space," claimed Scott Dobson, managing director at distributor VCOMM.
