Critical Links and RGV Telecom launch innovative, easy-to-manage edgeBOX networking device in the UAE

Critical Links, an international networking technology company, and RGV Telecom, a provider of specialised IT products and solutions and consultancy services, are introducing the award-winning edgeBOX 4.3, at Gitex, (18-22 November, Dubai City Convention Center, Hall 1, Booth 103).

edgeBOX is an innovative and cost-effective networking device providing complete converged voice and data networking services for SMBs and Branch Offices.

edgeBOX provides the all-in-one, remotely manageable networking device that SMBs are looking for and incorporates all the latest in-demand technologies such as VoIP, IP-PBX, WiFi, VPNs, security and QoS. It also provides network access control, has an integrated router and ADSL modem, can be used as a web server, email server and storage device.

'edgeBOX addresses an emerging market opportunity in delivering value-added managed services to SMBs and branch offices to benefit from the latest converged (VoIP) networking technologies without the need for specialist in-house IT knowledge,' stated Mr. H.L.Nagaraja, RGV Telecom's CEO.

'edgeBOX is available in a wide range of scalable hardware platforms, including standard servers, and has the best feature to price ratio in the market, making it the ideal choice for cost savvy SMB,' said Mr. Peter Tyndale, VP for Business Development at Critical Links. 'edgeBOX typically replaces 4-7 single-function devices required to deliver an equivalent set of services, fully remotely managed, with significantly lower TCO.'

edgeBOX enables service providers to automate every phase of the business life cycle, from mass subscriber device deployment and provisioning, to broadcasting software upgrades, proactive alarm management, subscriber tracking and inventory management, significantly reducing the time, effort, and cost of deploying and managing CPE.

edgeBOX has been identified as a key player in the emerging 'Business Gateway' market by leading analyst house InStat and won the Best Broadband Appliance award at the World Broadband Forum in 2005. It was selected a finalist by IDG Communications' Techworld for its 2006 'Small Business Product of the Year'. It was recently unveiled in several european markets, following successful launches in Brazil, China, India, Portugal, Chile, Singapore, and South Africa.
